As Candy’s Kids Learning Academy, LLC chooses to reopen its doors after the COVID-19 health pandemic closed our doors for the longest time since we were founded, we want to recognize the difficult and tenuous nature of this moment. Child Care helps families go to work. High quality early childhood education programs ensure that children have developmentally appropriate learning environments in which to spend their days when families work.
We know that quality programs are hard to sustain in normal times because they cost more money than the private market can provide. We know that this health crisis threatens not only our fiscal health but that of the entire child care sector.
When we reopen, we will be balancing core values with realities that we want to name. When deciding whether or not to reopen, we believe that we need to maintain quality care options in our neighborhood even if it means that we have to adjust some of our practices, even some practices that are central to our identity (such as the cooperative program, and school age care).
We are committed to returning to core practices as the situation allows.
Although COVID-19 has impacted the way in which we serve our children and families, we are still here for you. Learn more our programs.
